Vintage Sunday Give-a-Ways & Challenge

Today, I decided to give a way some items that are family heirlooms so to speak.  1st is a picture of my Grandma Bertha Peterson, 2nd is my grandma's autograph book from when she was in school and 3rd is a piece from a stationery set from 1800's Berlin, that is from my great great--not sure grandparents.

Vintage Sunday Giveaway -- and a Challenge

I love going to different blogs that give away freebie scans.  I have throughout my vintage shopping and started my own collection, and thought that I too could scan and post for people to have from my blog.  So I am starting my Vintage giveaways today.  I think it would be neat to see people take these two images and create something. . .so with that being said here are two Vintage pieces for you to take and create something extraordinary.

First is an old photo of a man I call Philip

and who doesn't love Vintage Bingo cards
Have fun and I would love to see what you come up with using these two pieces.

Here is what I came up with

1st project of 2011

for my first creative project of 2011.  I used a small canvas that I received as a RAK.  Other materials; Sticky Back Canvas, Distress Ink; Peeled Paint and Walnut Stain, Tissue Tape and Perfect Pearls-Gold.

I found this great image online while surfing the web, printed it on the Sticky Back Canvas, placed on the small canvas, edged it in tissue tape.  I used a nib to paint on the green in the leaves and edged it with Walnut Stain.  Then I misted it with my concoction of Perfect Pearl and water.

Thanks for the feedback

I asked, your spoke, I listened. . .

Let me know what you think?

Happy New year

So yesterday I finally figured out how to design my own blog background.  What an adventure it was.  Today I think I may try to organize my Craft room.  So many boxes.
